HEY THERE

A few years ago, God laid it on my heart to write devotionals designed to help the reader better understand God's heart. And a few years later, He pushed me to start sharing them! Whether you best engage through reading a devo, watching to a video, or singing along to worship music, there's something here to help you kickstart your conversations with God. Enjoy :)

Why "Called By God"

Ephesians 4:1 says, "I urge you, therefore, to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God." There are so many beautiful parts about this verse. First, we're encouraged to LEAD our life - to boldly take the reigns in the way God would have. And not just any life, but one that is "worthy of your calling" - talk about a high standard! But therein lies what I believe to be the ultimate beauty of this verse - we have been called.  That is to say God sees us, wants us, wanted us even before we knew to want ourselves. He's calling each of us to himself and to a more fulfilled life. And since He called us, He'll equip us to meet that "high standard". Called By God  is not just a catchy title; it's a challenge, it's a declaration, it's a promise, it's a reminder that we are loved.

WHAT DO I BELIEVE?

I get it, you've got to be careful about what you allow into your spirit. I believe in God's infinite love for us, demonstrated through the death and resurrection of his son, Jesus Christ. Because of Him (and with the help of the Holy Spirit), we are forgiven, redeemed, and free to worship him here on this earth and eternally in Heaven.

More About Me

Most of my days are filled with designing spaces & programs where people feel valued, supported, and even challenged. In my day job, that looks like facilitating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion spaces, leading professional development sessions, implementing ways to improve team culture, reshaping the way we approach performance development, and more.

Outside of work, I serve as the Youth Ministry Director at my home church in Southern New Jersey. I get to prayerfully design and execute engaging programs, sessions & activities to help our students grow spiritually, emotionally and socially.

I hold an advanced degree in organizational behavior and am currently a student at Eastern Theological Seminary pursuing a Masters in Theology.
